On Blatter and Matini's 8 yrs Suspension

It's no more news that the outgoing most powerful man in world of football, Joseph Sep Blatter and his European counterpart, Michele Platini have been axed. They are restrained from having anything to do with football for the next eight years. They were found guilty of breaches surrounding a £1.3m ($2m) "disloyal payment" made to Platini in 2011.Switzerland born Blatter and 60-year-old Frenchman Platini have also been fined £33,700 ($50,000) and £54,000 ($80,000) respectively.

In defence if this, Blatter said he would fight for himself and for FIFA. He further said he was "really sorry" that he is still "a punching ball" and that he has become tainted in the eyes of humanity. He claimed the payment he made to Platini was legitimate that the panel claimed it was actually used to influence Platini in the election on world cup hosting right won by Qutar in 2022.

Platini in his own defence said he is at peace with his conscience. He said the procedure initiated against him by Fifa's ethics committee is a pure masquerade.
Definitely he meant masquerade to disqualify him from contesting in February 26, 2016  election that he believed he had best chance of winning among the rest like Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al-Khalifa(50), Bahrain, president of Asian Football Confederation; Tokyo Sexwale -(62), South Africa, politician, businessman and former political prisoner; Prince Ali bin al-Hussein - 39, Jordan, a former Fifa vice-president and 2015 Fifa presidential candidate; Gianni Infantino - 45, Switzerland, Uefa general secretary and a member of Fifa's reform committee and Jerome Champagne -(57) France, a former Fifa assistant general secretary and former French diplomat.

Platini was formerly Blatter's technical adviser before the parted ways as a result of different dreams they both had.

Blatter, who has married three different time with a daughter was popular in his heydays as a critic of bad governance in FIFA and a believer of true football democracy. He was popular and loved especially in Africa and Asia because the duo continents saw him as their only 'defence attorney' in FIFA board. Little wonder why they gave him their support during election.

The bottom line is just that no matter what comes out if their appeal to the FIFA axe on them, they miscalculated thier football political game. As it happens always in conventional politics, the beautiful ones are still not yet born. It is individual interest above general interest always. It's all about hypocrisy : Be and do what people want at all cost. I just hope they win the appeal to protected thier age long won reputations.
